Feast of the Seven Fishes

The Feast of the Seven Fishes is an important Italian-American Christmas tradition. This dinner traditionally occurs on Christmas Eve, but we will be celebrating the feast for the twenty-four days leading up to Christmas.

Pastrami Smoked Salmon Bruschetta

Pale salmon in appearance. The nose and palate are met by playful aromas of wild strawberry, watermelon, cranberry, fresh-cut grass and river stone. A refreshing, but modest, backbone of acidity supports a round mouth-feel and velvety texture.
Seared Ahi Tuna

Brilliant gold in color with an intense yet elegant floral bouquet. Beautifully layered on the palate, this wine tantalizes the senses with notes of stone fruit, vanilla and white flowers.
Fennel Braised Mussels

Bright straw-yellow with green reflections in color with a nose of pears, apples, floral and mineral notes. Full- bodied with bright acidity, good structure and rich flavors of apples, pears and stone fruit.
Crispy Octopus
Farro salad, red pepper romesco

Red-violet in color, with aromas of plums and black cherries and a subtle, smoky scent. On the palate, dark fruits that mimics the aroma. The soft, supple palate and smooth tannins lead to a round and harmonious finish.
Sea Scallops
Butternut squash purée, butter braised leeks
Primitivo, Varvaglione ’12 E Mezzo’ Salento ‘15
Tones of cherry and slightly charred herbs carry the nose and palate. Dense at first but turns brighter on the palate after a resurgence of acidity, with dense, dark cherry transitioning to lighter strawberry.
Squid Ink Campanelle
Seafood ragu, seared shrimp
Cabernet Sauvignon, Chasing Lion California North Coast ‘17
Bright with ripe red cherries leaping out of the glass, complementing aromas of boysenberry and spicy red plum in the mouth. Flavors of milk chocolate, sweet red berries and a slight oaky smokiness, all harmoniously blended in a matrix of soft and supple tannins.
